This wine has a lot of character, it’s fruity with a hint of citrus and oak, and one of us even tasted feijoa. The Plaimont has a refreshing, clean finish and a gorgeous light honeyed hue. We did find it slightly tangy, but we were ok with it. According to the accompanying tasting notes:
A light yellow coloured white with bags of ripe exotic fruit and grapefruit aromas. This is a well-balanced, soft yet rich wine full of quince and pineapple flavours and a lovely fresh burst of lemony acidity. Serve chilled and pop in your picnic hamper to go with lightly spiced chicken kebabs, pasta and cous cous salads.
If we had one phrase to describe it – fresh ‘n fruity covers all the bases. We took it on an outdoor picnic and it went very well with our cheeses, crisps and picnic pie – it did just fine. We’d definitely buy this little number again.
